We have created Appassionata as a way of sharing our love of Italy, with a discerning and select group of people. When we discovered this beautiful part of Italy in 2004 we knew we had found a part of the world that we wanted to call home. The combination of the unspoilt countryside, the proximity of the sea and mountains, and the wonderful quality of life this region offers was too much to resist.

 

We decided to combine all of our life and business experiences to create this lifestyle enterprise. We have taken professional business skills and married them with style, creativity and passion to offer you something a little unique.

 

This venture is a family run affair with strong financial backing and a great deal of experience in developing residential property. The Hobbs family hope you will love Italy as much as them and want to buy your own share of this unique experience. The business is fully funded by the Hobbs family and has no external borrowings.

 

Michael Hobbs spent over 25 years in the retail industry and, as the Chief Executive of a large international fashion business, led a Management Buyout of the business in 1999. He has a tremendous amount of international experience and has held a number of Chairman and non-executives roles with both public and private companies.

Now in his late 40’s he and his family decided that they wanted a complete lifestyle change.

By creating this luxury boutique business they have been able to combine his extensive business experience and financial resources with the creative skills of his wife Dawn Cavanagh-Hobbs.

She has been developing and renovating property for over 20 years and is a qualified interior designer. Having raised four children you can’t question her stamina, determination and sense of humour.

Dawn’s ability to combine traditional workmanship with an eclectic design sense creates a unique home. Having completed many projects she knows how to create a beautiful home and furnish it to a very high standard. Working with a combination of antique and modern furniture, original art and handmade lighting , cosy but light colour combinations you will love her style.
